Girly Girl

So I attempted to paint Claire's toenails finally- SOOO much harder then I was imagining. Perhaps it was the toenail to brush size ratio, or perhaps I just struggle, but getting the polish only on the nail.... virtually impossible. So please, don't judge or look too closely... they are very flawed. But from a distance - absolutely adorable. Especially because now she's always wanting to play with her toes, amazing what a little color can do! :)

Look What I Can Do!

Claire has recently learned 2 new fun things! She is now holding her bottles all by herself:

..........and..........

Sitting up by herself!

I still like to hold her while she eats, its always been our time together! But I'm not gonna lie, it will be nice for the times I'm needing to do other things while she eats! Please notice her new cute bottles! It's about time NUK got something besides the plain green and pink ones! Saw them and HAD to have them! :) It's so amazing to watch this little one learn new things! She used to just sit up for a min here and there with the boppy behind, just in case, but now she sits up and plays all the time and loves it. She sometimes tries to reach a little too far and topples over, but otherwise, she's a pro! I could snap pictures of her all day, as you can tell, she is just so dang cute! She is officially 7 Months old today; growing big and learning new things! All so exciting! Love you Little Clarabella! :)

Viva Las Vegas

Jacob's family was in town and was more the willing to watch Claire for the weekend so we took advantage and headed on a mini vacation to Vegas! Seeing as its only about an hour from our house it was the perfect weekend getaway! Jacob even had work off on Friday, so it all worked out perfectly! Jacob had never been so we made sure to see and do a lot! We went to.....

The Coca Cola Factory

M&M Factory

NASCAR Cafe (In our hotel)

Shopping and eating (Had a little TOO much fun at the Rainforest Cafe as you can see)

some much needed relaxation in the hotel room

and..... Pawn Stars of course. Too bad we didn't see anyone from the actual show, lame!

We had such a great time! The weather was perfect and the company excellent :) Thank you Annie, Lish, Wendy and Tony for watching Claire, much appreciated!

Cramers come to Visit

This past weekend my sister, her hubby and their little boy came down to St. George to stay! I love having family come visit since we don't have any down here close to us! They came on Saturday and were able to stay till Monday. It was interesting having 2 6 month old's in the same house together when it came to sleeping time but I think it actually turned out quite well considering! We were able to do some much needed relaxing, eat- of course, shopping, played some games and went on a walk! The weather was SO nice... lucky for them, they picked a great weekend! We miss our family up in SLC so we love a visit every now and then. Thanks for coming, come again soon and we can swim and sweat in the 100 degree weather :) Now doesn't that sound fun....

Cute Cousins... this was right before Kole tried to grab Claire's eyes haha

Jacob's fabulous outfit he sported while going on our walk. Glad he's packin... not sure who he thought we would run into.. hahah

6 Months

Sweet little Claire is 6 months old, seriously!? I can't even believe it. I'm pretty sure if I were to go back and read all my posts about Claire they would say about the same thing but it's crazy how fast time is going by and how big she is getting. Claire is now:

-15.4 Lbs. (50th Percentile)
-27 1/4 in. (90th Percentile)
-Wears 3-6 month clothes, some 6 months

We weren't able to get her shots while we were at the doctor because she was super sick with what turned out to be bronchitis and she is getting 2 teeth so she had a fever. So back we go next week to get the lovely shots. Always such a treat. Claire is now able to:

-Roll from her tummy to her back
-Say DaDa (although I don't think she realizes it)
-Almost sit up by herself
-Loves watching her Baby Einstein
-Eats all baby fruits and vegies but likes the fruits MUCH better
-Still such a good sleeper, 3 naps a day and 12 hours at night
-Constantly smiling and talking and moving her hands and feet
-Puts EVERYTHING in her mouth
-LOVES playing in her jumper

She's half a year old and I'm already panicking, her 1st birthday should be interesting! We love this little girl so much, its crazy to even think it was possible. Proud parents we are for sure....

Christmas

Christmas came so fast this year and went even faster! For Christmas Eve we went over to my aunts house and had a yummy dinner and did a little Christmas program after. The kids, and a few adults, acted out the nativity scene and it was so cute! They all get dressed up in their character and it was so fun.

Claire and her cousin Taiya were so fascinated by each other, it was hilarious. They just sat on my moms lap and stared at each other and would occasionally try and touch each others faces. It was so cute.

Claire and Kole chilled on the couch while we all ate dinner. Trying to get 1 kid to look at the camera is hard enough, let alone 2! Obviously neither were interested here! haha

We stayed at my parents house while we were visiting so after the party we all headed home for bed. Claire was beat! Christmas was soo much different with a child. Although Claire honestly had no idea what was going on it was so fun to watch her play with all her toys from Santa and Mom and Dad. I'm pretty sure all the toys actually overwhelmed her at one moment because she wasn't sure what to play with. She got to wear her cute new holiday pj's while she stared at all her gifts :)

We woke up around 8 on Christmas morning and opened up all Claire's gifts before my family all came over.

She got some fun toys from Santa and clothes from us! Once all the kids got to my parents we all opened gifts from each other! We draw names each year and do gifts for one other person. Jacob and I both got some fun things!

I mostly got clothes and jewelery, my fav and Jacob got clothes and knife he's been dying to have! After gifts we were able to hang out and play games and just relax.

Later that night we went to Jacob's aunt Shauna's for Christmas dinner! It's so fun to have everyone together even though I was stuffed before I even got there! Claire got spoiled there with more toys and attention!

After the party we went home and all crashed! Way too much excitement for one day; Claire had had it! She was soo excited to get in her bed for her 12 hour slumber, or maybe that was her parents :) While we were in SLC we also went and saw the lights at Temple Square. This is always a favorite of mine! I'm not really sure why because I hate being cold and am never prepared to be outside in the freezing cold but I always love going. This year I wore my coat and then Jacob's on top of mine so I look ginormous, but at least I was somewhat warm. Claire was so fascinated this year with all the lights, she just laid there and stared as we strolled around.

All in all it was a fabulous holiday! We were able to stay in SLC the week after Christmas as well while Jacob had a work training in Draper. We had so much fun playing with the family and friends and enjoying a little time away from real life! Thanks everyone for all the fun, I love the Christmas season! Now back to the daily grind of life! Luckily the weather isn't in the teens here in St. George... a week of that in SLC was plenty for me! Another reason I'm reminded why I love living here! :)
