New Obsessions....

So I'm on this kick of being in great shape and doing so many fun outdoor activities this Summer! I'm thinking that I would LOVE to be gone every weekend doing something different or going somewhere new! I know that might be a little bit of an exageration, but a women can dream right?? I have been searching for days for the absolute perfect hiking shoes/boots and looking for a bunch of gear, I dont know why Im so obsessed about it, I've never liked hiking, but it just sounds soo fun to me!

I'm wishing away the snow and cold weather and welcoming every ray of sunshine that dares shine through! I'm sick of the winter and being cooped up inside cuz I hate being cold.... stupid winter... I cant wait for summer! The warm weather, pools, flip flops and hopefully the beach! Im just in summer mode, out with the cold in with the sun! I also would love to camp alot in fun places and maybe even mountain bike... if I only I had all the money to buy all the gear! So I'm thinkin I'll start with hiking, I can afford that gear, and then maybe go from there! Anyways, just thought I would inform you all of my new obsession! If you know alot about hiking shoes, let me know! I need help knowing what to get! I wanna do the shoe instead of the boot.... the boot sounds too claustraphobic :)

Happy 60th Birthday Ray T.

I know I am a little late, considering his birthday was on Monday, but I'm pretty sure my dad doesn't even know I have a blog or have the desire to check it daily if he does... but I still wanted to do a little post about my dad and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Its crazy how things change when you grow up and move away! You couldn't pay me in high school to stay home with the parentals and hang out... things are def different now! Getting married and moving away has made me appreciate my parents alot, they are both absolutely AMAZING! If my dad does ever read this, I just hope that he knows how much I love and appreciate him and think he is the most amazing dad EVER! We have grown pretty close and as alot of you know, I am quite the daddy's little girl, being the youngest and all! My dad was so great to me and still is! He is always going out of his way to make sure all his children are happy and taken care of. I didnt even learn to peel an orange till I was in college thanks to my dad getting up and making sure I had one ready to go every morning before school! :) I could go on and on about all the wonderful things he has done for me but I mostly just wanted to say Happy Birthday and thank him for everything! Thanks Daddy! Love you!

I think I figured it out....

No, I dont just sit around taking pics of myself all the time, although it does appear that way... but I think i've finally figured out how to get my bangs to go straight down now! I'm excited cuz I think I can do both now, swoop them or go straight down.... anyways, here is one last pic and then I promise I'm done! Just wanna make sure you are all getting the full affect! :) Tada.....

I know its real close, sorry about that, but My Hubby isnt home at the moment to take one for me and this is the best I can do, I'm just glad I managed to not make myself have a double chin :)

So here is the Hair....

Yes I just finished getting ready and I'm so tired so I look like poop... but by the end of the day my hair is usually trashed.... so here is the new do! What do you think? :) Not much of a change, just lots of bangs! I'm still learning how to do them, cuz I want them to go straight down like bangs, but apparantly they are trained or something to swoop, whatevs!

New Hair Do

So I finally got my hair cut yesterday, its been forever! I have been cutting and coloring my own hair, with Jacob's help, and its worked for now... but I really needed a good professional hair cut and color. Since I know so many people that do hair, and mine is sooo simple, I cant imagine paying 100$$ to get my hair done when I can do a pretty good job myself. So, I decided to cut me some major bangs! So scary! But I think i'm really liking them... its hard to tell the first day after the cut cuz I'm still not really sure how to do them, gotta do a little more experimenting! But I added a little carmel in and then got some bangs, im sure alot of people wont be able to tell, but I think its a huge change.... I dont have a pic now.... I'll have to take on tomorrow and post it and see what everyone thinks. I made my bangs so I could still swoop them if I wanted to, but I'm gonna try them straight down tomorrow and see what I think... !! So ya, thats about the only new exciting news in life... oh, and I got a new LIME GREEN IPOD! Mine was being retarted and doing dumb things, so Jacob said I could go get a new one... Thanks honey! Cant workout without music... No Way! Well, i'm done for tonight, 3 posts, not too shabby! I'm super sleepy and have stupid work in the morning! Tootles!

New Year!

So its finally 2009 and we are so excited for the New Year ahead of us! New Year's eve was spent at our friends house, Erin and Dan, and it was really fun! Although I have decided and finally confirmed in "my old married age" that New Year's is completely overated and just stupid! :) It was fun to get together and hang out, but we were all dying by like 11. I kinda sound pathetic writing that, but its totally the truth! We got together at Erin and Dan's house in Spanish Fork with 2 other couples. We played some games, Guitar Hero, and of course... ate! Guess just another excuse to get together and have a day off of work, so I guess I cant complain! Our biggest goals for the new year are to get in shape, not just loose weight, and to save lots of $$$! :) Any of you that know Jacob knows that He LOVES the outdoors and to do anything and everything possible that he can, hiking included! Now, if any of you know me, I dislike hiking very much.... but I've come to the conclusion that I think I hate it cuz I'm so out of shape and its absolutly kills me, so I choose not to do it! So we have decided to both get in shape, be healthy and start some fun hobbies! So by June or so, I'm hoping to be somewhat in shape so I can enjoy doing more active things. I love the sun and being outside, so I think this is a good idea, I hope I can just keep it going! Me and Jacob and Erin and Dan decided to do a little Biggest Loser type thing and see who can lose the most weight percentage wise! I've gained a few lbs since getting married and we all wanted to loose a bit, so we thought it would be something fun to do! We are going till June, so I'll have to keep you updated on the results! Hopefully I will look like this :)

haha totally kidding! We are also planning a trip to Mexico in November so I would love to be nice and swimming suit ready for a week of fun in the sun!

I always set new goals each year, as I'm sure everyone does, so I'm hoping I really keep these ones this year. I think having Jacob there to help me and do it with me with really help! Wish us luck!

No More Excuses....Starting with Christmas

Ok, So I now have a brand new computer and the internet, so I have no excuse to not blog! So today is the start of an always updated blog! My life isnt that exciting, but we'll see what I can come up with to keep this somewhat interesting! So we shall start with Christmas tonight and see how far I can get! Christmas was a total blast, it was so fun to be married and spend the holidays together. I first Christmas together.... so spesh! So, Jacob and I thought it would be funny to get some matching PJ's for Christmas morning and this is what we came up with..

We found these on the internet and thought it would be absolutely halarious. Once we got them I cut out our initials and glued them on as a finishing touch, I think it totally completed them. Although halfway through present opening I got so hot I had to go put a shirt on and upzip the top, they were nice and toasty, a little too toasty apparently. We both got lots of fun presents from christmas from the family...

After presents the whole Thompson fam came over and enjoyed declicious homemade Cafe Rio Salads, they were sooo good! Jacob and I then went to his Aunt Shauna's house in Sugarhouse and ate ANOTHER Christmas dinner there. It was a fun day filled with alot of family and presents, what could be better :) This Christmas season we also went and saw the Temple Square lights and they were amazing! So pretty, I havent seen them in a little while and forgot how pretty they were! It was freezing cold, but we had a really fun time!

I was stoked cuz Jacob had promised me we could ride on one of those horse carriages and I have always wanted to do it and never been able to! Little did I know though that its like $50-$60 for like a 30 min ride, ya... that got thrown out the window right away! I cant believe it costs that much, thats insane! I would much rather go shopping with that money :) All in all, it was a wonderful holiday! It was fun to have our "first Christmas" together and share it with the people we loved!
