Valentines Day 2011

This year, we weren't going to do much for Valentines Day, but decided last minute to get each other gifts (go shopping together) and do dinner. I'm glad we did, it's always fun to have an excuse to celebrate something.We celebrated over the weekend and did some fabulous shopping, my favorite, dinner at Texas Roadhouse (which turned into a 2 hour wait!!) and then cuddled up for a nice movie at home. PERFECT Valentines for me.

I forgot to take my camera with me over the weekend or take pictures at all so I'm now having to improvise.

Some new William Rast Jeans and flats! I've been in dyer need of flats for awhile now so I'm so excited. The St. George mall has SOO many choices (not) so it was quite easy to decide on my 2 pairs.

Yesterday, on Valentines, Jacob worked so I surprised him when he got home with this:

Nothing huge, but something! Jacob had left those flowers on my car the other day while I was at the gym! So cute!

Claire gave daddy this for Valentines:

Yes, this took a few tries to get a good one, but I think it turned out pretty cute. Underneath Claire it says "8 Mo." and it struggles, greatly. But I finally had the hand and foot print how I wanted it so I wasn't about to re-do the whole thing.

I also made this fun treat:

Found it on someones blog and thought it was adorable! Went to the store for sprinkles and every red/pink item was MIA from the store! So I had to improvise. Still delicious!

Lastly, I made these adorable coupon books, which I also found on a blog. (You can now see what I do in my spare time, copy others, haha)

I changed up the coupons from what she had, but I thought it was so fun. You don't have to spend a million dollars in one day and can have presents all year long if you wanted; they don't expire for 1 year! :) Claire's were a little harder, considering her age, but I just personalized them for each person.

To top off our night last night, our Maxima died on Jacob on his way home from work. Lovely car problems; could do without those... FOREVER! All in all, fabulous holiday! Sometimes think Valentines is overrated, but enjoy it all the while!

I love you babe and little Claire; thanks for an amazing weekend! I'm one lucky lady!
