4th of July 2011

This year for the 4th of July we went to Antimony with Jacob's family. Antimony is a happenin' place on the 4th. They do a parade, fireworks and a town BBQ and games so lots to do! We got there on Saturday and they had the fireworks that night! We drove up the mountain with some friends and watched them from above the lake! It was so pretty, great weather, and Claire was so fascinated by them.

Rylie and Claire wanted to play in the dirt. Rylie was going crazy and Claire kinda just watched and ran her fingers through it.

Next thing I know, Claire is eating the dirt. HaHa... She wasn't quite sure on the taste or the handful of rocks that were mixed in.

This is what you get when you ask the boys to take a picture. Something totally cheesy!

Finally firework time!

The rest of the festivities were on Monday. Started bright at early with the famous Antimony parade. If you blink, you may miss it :) It's seriously only like 10 minutes long, but its a fun parade none the less.

This cute older couple drives around in this little buggy and hands out stuffed animals to the little kids! How cute is that? Claire got this adorable pink dog. Now that's what I call a parade treat! HaHa

After the parade we had a fabulous lunch at the Merc. Once all the festivities had ended Claire was EXHAUSTED! She was eating her bottle and we were chit chatting with the family and I look down to see this: PASSED OUT!

So I decided it was a perfect time for me to follow suit :)

We were able to do a little hunting, driving in the mountains and relaxing while we were there as well so it was a fun trip! Always LOVE Antimony in the summer. It's gorgeous and so many fun things to do! Before we left that day, Corlas (and Alisha!) made Claire a birthday cake! It was so cute! Corlas even hand picked out the decorations (from the Merc's generous selection) and it turned out adorable!
